The East 7th grade basketball team suffered its 2nd loss of the season last night. Center Grove Central won the game 26-20. The game was close throughout. East took a 20-19 lead in the middle of the 4th quarter, but a 7-0 run at the end of the game was too much for the Bulldogs to overcome. Really great defense by Whitney Dancler and Elizabeth Lantrip forced a lot of turnovers, and great post defense by Kenzie Touloukian, Lilly Kelly, and Quinn Wesson made scoring difficult for the Trojans. Lilly Kelly led the team with 7 points. BEMS has no games the rest of this week and will play February 8 against Decatur Central.
