On Saturday, the Lady Dogs traveled to Pebble Brook Golf Club for the Conference Championship. After a shaky start, the girls “stayed in the moment” and played great golf on the finishing holes. Coming in with a team score of 200 (14 shots better than last season), it was the best the East Girls have played in a Conference Championship in several years. Special congratulations go out to Laila Leaman, finishing her Middle School career as the Runner-Up in the 44-player field. Scoring for East was as follows: 45 - Laila Leaman (2nd Place) 50 - Ashlyn Martin (17th) 52 - Ava Wilson (T-20th) 53 - Emery Mygrant (22nd) 54 - Kylie Sambyal (23rd) Team Scores were as follows: 179 - Westfield 191 - Brownsburg West 193 - Zionsville West 198 - Zionsville 200 - Brownsburg East 225 - Avon South 254 - Avon West 257 - Franklin Central 263 - Avon North Coach Johns would like to thank the Girls, as well as their Parents and Grandparents, for a wonderful season. Including a 10-0 start, the ladies finished with an overall record of 20-14. All of these ladies are to be commended on how well they represented themselves, their families, and East Middle School. Go Dogs!
