Brownsburg East Middle School

Following the BEMS 7th Grade Victory, your 8th Grade East Middle School Bulldogs started explosively on Thursday night with a Kick Off Return for a TD by Levi Prickett. A penalty was called towards the end of the play so our offense had to put the ball in the end zone again. Brayden Dietz connected with Franklin Franco on a pass and Franco did the rest of the work carving his way into the Endzone. On the PAT, the same two connected to go up 8-0. It didn’t take BWMS to answer. After Juan Vangeas unleashed a monster kick and our KO team pinning BWMS deep within their own 5 yard line, they connected on a bomb and scored a TD the next play. David Olatunji squashed the QB for a sack on the 2 pt PAT keeping us up 8-6. Offensively we moved the ball the rest of the first half but committed too many penalties that stifled our drives. Our Defense was determined to tighten things up and shut West down the remainder of the half and for evening as well. Franklin Franco had an INT to give our offense another crack at scoring in the first half. The team refocused at Halftime with the game plan of cleaning up our play to the Bulldog standard and boy, did they. The defense put on a clinic answering every challenge they faced. They quickly gave the ball back to our offense on the first series of the second half. Levi Prickett pierced through the middle of the defense after great blocking by Brecken Kritenbrink, Mubajjal Lawal, Harlan Millner, Carter Bogie and Greg Newton. Levi Prickett added a 2 Pt Conversion immediately following. Defense put it on them giving us the ball back again. Carter Bogie TFL, David Olatunji 2 pressures on QB which forced a pass up that JJ White plucked from the air for the INT. Brayden Dietz pass to Drake Jones had a huge connection on the next drive flipping the field for our Offense who was hungry to score again but we put the ball on the turf and BWMS recovered the fumble. Another stellar series with a TFL and Pressure on the QB by David Olatunji and BWMS punted away to JJ White who had a great return. Levi Prickett and then Drake Jones had energizing runs and then AJ Maxie brought some power on two runs of his own resulting in a TD splash! Defense then went 4 and out with 2 TFLs, 1 hurry and a Sack. Jay Hampleton, Josiah White and AJ Maxie got things cooking on the ground as we went to put the game on ice and burning the clock.
