The East 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team secured a hard-fought 48-39 win over Center Grove in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Despite trailing by three points at halftime, the Bulldogs’ resilience shone in the second half. Their dominance on the boards, led by Rylee Amt who grabbed 13 rebounds and added 4 points, helped shift momentum in their favor. Ava Emberton was outstanding with 21 points, providing the offensive spark needed to take control. Payton Brodnik hit 4 three-pointers and had 13 points and ignited a crucial offensive run. Alli Keel added 8 points and contributed to the team's strong rebounding effort, while Makenzie Dove was relentless on defense. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 7-1 and now turn their focus to a road game at Decatur tomorrow.
