Brownsburg East Middle School

On Thursday at Oak Tree, the Lady Dogs competed in the 6-team County Championship. Playing their best golf of the season, the girls posted a team score of 195 on the Par-36 course. For the second straight year, the Bulldogs finished in 2nd Place. Kate Cornwell lit it up once again as she was crowned the Individual County Champion with a 43. All of her hard work is paying dividends. Atta Girl, Kate! Rachel Rhoades also played well and got herself on the podium with a 48, good for 9th Place in the field of 30 players. Great play also came from Laila Leaman (50 - 11th Place), Emery Mygrant (54 - 14th Place), and Ashlyn Martin (57 - 19th Place). Team Scores were as follows: 187 - Plainfield 195 - Brownsburg East 198 - Brownsburg West 209 - Avon South 226 - Tri-West 240 - Avon North Up next for East is an away match with Zionsville West next Tuesday.
