Your 8th Grade Bulldogs suffered a loss last night to Avon North with the final score 40-30. There was some good football played on offense and defense but we were outmatched in the third phase of the game, Special Teams. The offensive line performed admirably with Eli Kelvin, Juan Martinez, Sebastian Gutierrez, Kingston Baker, Mason Duncan and Zach Pappas blocking hard all night. Brody Woodruff started our scoring off with a TD run. Nico Clark had an amazing Pick 6 to score a defensive Touchdown. Reed Johnson led the team with Rushing Yards and also threw an electric TD pass on a halfback pass to BJ Jones who led the team in receiving with over 100 receiving yards. BJ chipped in on Defense too where he added a Pick 6 to score our second defensive touchdown of the night racing away from everyone on the field. Zack Pappas had a defensive sack forcing the Orioles to Punt and give us a chance for a comeback. Micah Billups caught the last Touchdown of the night from Brody Woodruff trying to get us back in the game late but we ran out of time. We will be looking for a bounce back win over Avon South on Monday. Come support your Bulldogs on Monday Night!
