Brownsburg East Middle School

Your 7th grade BEMS Bulldogs came to play last night against our friends down the road, beating BWMS 30-6 at Brownsburg High School. The Defense turned the heat on early and kept relentless pressure throughout the night. Aaron Mosley and Trenton Kivett were dominate forces with a supporting cast of hungry dogs putting on a defensive display of talent and hustle. On the 2nd play of the game Mosley jarred the ball free from West and Bo Lewis scooped and scored the first TD of the season. Mosley then rumbled for a 2 point conversion. Our Defense essentially shut down the ground game and air game all night. Unofficially, I don’t believe your BEMS 7th Grade Bulldog Defense gave up a single first down all night. The Offense wasted no time driving the field and Elliott Hollingsworth hit paydirt next with a Touchdown run. After another lock down series for the Defense, the offensive line trotted out on the field. Ian Payne, Conner Payne, Arthur Grant, Jason Johnson, Jack Rosenberger and Akinyemi Akinrolabu were determined to control the line of scrimmage. Elliott Hollingsworth turned on the jets to score his second touchdown of the night. Allen Mickens got in on the scoring party adding a 2 point conversion and putting us up 22-0 at half. The second half was a running clock. We gave up a pick six but the defense held them out of the Endzone for their conversion. The Offense wanted to right the ship and had a long drive capped off with Imre Dispennett throwing a touchdown pass to Tre Edgington. Easton Yarbro followed an aggressive offensive push into the Endzone for the final 2 points of the game. Great team performance!
