Brownsburg East 9, Danville 8 (Walk-Off) Down five runs after the first inning, Brownsburg East’s 7th graders put together one of their best comeback performances of the season, walking off Danville Middle School 9-8 on Wednesday at home. Noah Corbitt got it started from the 7-hole, going 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and delivering the walk-off single down the left field line in the bottom of the fifth to end it. The big swing in momentum came in the fourth, when Noah Gambrel singled, a wild pitch moved runners up, and Chase Vaske. doubled to tie the game at seven. Danville briefly reclaimed the lead 8-7 in the top of the fifth, but Brownsburg East answered immediately. Austin Toms. grounded out to score the tying run, then Noah stepped up with the walk-off hit, sending Carter Zortman in for the winning run! Noah Corbitt started on the mound, going three innings and striking out two before giving way to relief. The team racked up 10 hits on the night. Up next: Brownsburg East travels to Decatur Middle School on Thursday.
