Brownsburg East 7th Grade Baseball Falls to Zionsville Middle School, 10-2 The Brownsburg East 7th Grade baseball team faced a tough challenge Wednesday at home, dropping a 10-2 decision to Zionsville Middle School. Zionsville jumped out to an early lead, plating four runs in the first inning and adding to their advantage throughout the game. Despite the final score, Brownsburg East showed some bright spots at the plate and in the field. Chase V. took the mound to start the game, striking out four batters over three innings of work. At the plate, Chase went 2-for-2, leading the team in hits. Eli M. was a key run producer, driving in both of Brownsburg East’s runs. The team demonstrated solid plate discipline, drawing eight walks on the day — with Tyler G. and Austin T. each drawing two. The squad also turned a double play defensively. While the result wasn’t what the team hoped for, the patient approach at the plate and competitive effort are positives to build on heading into the rest of the season. Brownsburg East 7th Grade is back in action Thursday when they take on ZWMS 7th Grade Eagles. Come out and support your Brownsburg East squad!
